Neutralizadas actividades extorsivas en Oporapa, Huila.

Un muerto y un herido en desarrollo de la operación antiextorsión. Se identificaban como integrantes de la Segunda Marquetalia.

En la vereda San Roque del municipio de Oporapa, tropas del Gaula Militar Huila y Gaula de la Policía Huila, en conjunto con el Batallón de Movilidad y Maniobra de Aviación N.° 5, la Fuerza Aeroespacial Colombiana y con el apoyo interinstitucional del CTI de la Fiscalía, neutralizaron planes extorsivos contra gremios productivos del sur del Huila. 

Las unidades, tras la denuncia y acciones de inteligencia, adelantaron la operación contra quienes se identificaban como presuntos integrantes de la Quinta Compañía Fernando Díaz del Grupo Armado Organizado Residual Segunda Marquetalia, Estructura Teófilo Forero Castro.

Se trata de dos hombres que al parecer realizaban extorsión y constreñimiento contra comerciantes, cafeteros y finqueros de la región, a quienes le estarían exigiendo entre 10 y 50 millones de pesos a cambio de permitirles continuar con sus actividades agrícolas y comerciales.

La acción  dejó como resultado la muerte en desarrollo de la operación militar de un sujeto y la captura, herido, de un segundo individuo. El capturado recibió atención médica inmediata y fue trasladado a un centro asistencial, donde quedó bajo custodia de las autoridades competentes.

En el lugar de los hechos fueron incautadas dos armas cortas, 50 cartuchos calibre 9 milímetros, dos celulares y una motocicleta, elementos empleados para actividades delictivas.

Con esta operación, las Fuerzas Militares y de Policía, debilitan la capacidad de intimidación de quienes actúan contra la Ley y reafirman el compromiso institucional con la seguridad y la tranquilidad de los huilenses.

La Novena Brigada del Ejército Nacional continuará desarrollando operaciones en profundidad, garantizando la defensa de la población civil.

In the San Roque neighborhood of the municipality of Oporapa, troops from the Huila Military Gaula and the Huila Police Gaula, together with the 5th Aviation Mobility and Maneuver Battalion, the Colombian Aerospace Force, and with the inter-institutional support of the Attorney General’s Office’s CTI (Critical Technical Investigation Unit), neutralized extortion plots against productive unions in southern Huila.

Following the complaint and intelligence actions, the units carried out the operation against those who identified themselves as alleged members of the Fifth Fernando Díaz Company of the Second Marquetalia Residual Organized Armed Group, Teófilo Forero Castro Structure.

These two men were allegedly extorting and coercing merchants, coffee growers, and farmers in the region, demanding between 10 and 50 million pesos in exchange for allowing them to continue their agricultural and commercial activities.

The action resulted in the death of one individual during the military operation and the capture, wounded, of a second individual. The captured individual received immediate medical attention and was taken to a health center, where he remained in the custody of the competent authorities.

At the scene, two handguns, 50 9mm cartridges, two cell phones, and a motorcycle were seized, all items used for criminal activities.

With this operation, the Military and Police Forces weaken the intimidation capacity of those who act against the law and reaffirm the institutional commitment to the security and peace of the people of Huila.

The Ninth Brigade of the National Army will continue to carry out in-depth operations, guaranteeing the defense of the civilian population.
