Comunicado de Prensa N.4

El Comando del Ejército Nacional se permite informar que, en estricto cumplimiento de las disposiciones legales vigentes, atendiendo a las necesidades operacionales y estratégicas de la Fuerza, y en respuesta a los cambios inherentes al desarrollo profesional y la carrera militar del personal de oficiales Generales, se han dispuesto los siguientes traslados en el Ejército Nacional:

• Mayor General Giovanni Rodríguez León, actual comandante de la Segunda División (CODIV2), asumirá como Comandante del Comando de Educación y Doctrina.
• Brigadier General Federico Alberto Mejía Torres, actual comandante de la Tercera División, (CODIV3), será el nuevo Comandante del Centro Nacional de Entrenamiento.
• Brigadier General Javier Hernando Africano López, actual comandante de la Brigada 18 (CBR18), asumirá como Comandante de la Tercera División del Ejército Nacional.
• Brigadier General Rodolfo Morales Franco, actual comandante de la Brigada 13 (CBR13), será designado como Comandante de la Segunda División del Ejército Nacional.
• Brigadier General Jorge Ricardo Hernández Vargas, actual comandante del Comando de Educación y Doctrina (CEDOC), asumirá como Comandante de la Décima Brigada.
• Brigadier General Juan Miguel Huertas Herrera, asumirá funciones como Comandante del Comando de Personal (COPER).
• Brigadier General Samuel Salinas Valencia, actual comandante del Comando de Personal (COPER), será el nuevo Comandante de la Décima Octava Brigada.
• Brigadier General César Augusto Martínez Páez, actual comandante de la Brigada 10 (CBR10), asumirá como Comandante de la Décima Tercera Brigada.

El Ejército Nacional continuará fortaleciendo sus capacidades operacionales con el fin de velar por la seguridad, la protección y el bienestar de todos los colombianos, reafirmando su compromiso con la defensa de la soberanía y la paz en el territorio nacional.

The National Army Command informs that, in strict compliance with current legal provisions, addressing the operational and strategic needs of the Force, and in response to the changes inherent to the professional development and military career of general officer personnel, the following transfers have been arranged within the National Army:

Major General Giovanni Rodríguez León, current commander of the Second Division (CODIV2), will assume the position of Commander of the Education and Doctrine Command.
Brigadier General Federico Alberto Mejía Torres, current commander of the Third Division (CODIV3), will be the new Commander of the National Training Center.
Brigadier General Javier Hernando Africano López, current commander of the 18th Brigade (CBR18), will assume the position of Commander of the Third Division of the National Army.
Brigadier General Rodolfo Morales Franco, current commander of the 13th Brigade (CBR13), will be appointed Commander of the Second Division of the National Army.
Brigadier General Jorge Ricardo Hernández Vargas, current commander of the Education and Doctrine Command (CEDOC), will assume the role of Commander of the Tenth Brigade.
Brigadier General Juan Miguel Huertas Herrera will assume the role of Commander of the Personnel Command (COPER).
Brigadier General Samuel Salinas Valencia, current commander of the Personnel Command (COPER), will be the new Commander of the Eighteenth Brigade.
Brigadier General César Augusto Martínez Páez, current commander of the 10th Brigade (CBR10), will assume the role of Commander of the Thirteenth Brigade.
