REFUERZAN LA PREVENCIÓN CONTRA LA FIEBRE AMARILLA EN PEREIRA.

Desde la secretaria de Salud de Pereira, Sandra Gómez, Directora de Salud Pública, adelanta un proceso de alistamiento y prevención ante la amenaza de fiebre amarilla, enfermedad viral trasmitida por mosquitos como el AEDES AEGYPTI, también vector del dengue y la Malaria.

Aunque en Risaralda aúno se han reportado casos, ya se han reportado en el vecino departamento de caldas, lo que h encendido las alertas.

La funcionaria recordó que la vacuna contra la fiebre amarilla debe aplicarse una sola vez en la vida, y esta dirigida apersonas entre los 9 mees y los 59 años.

No obstante, quienes fueron vacunados hace más de 10 años y van a viajar, pueden recibir una nueva dosis, las vacunas están disponibles las IPS del municipio bajo el esquema de vacunación sin barreras.
