Con lleno total en el estadio Hernán Ramirez Villegas, los hinchas rojiamarillos protagonizaron desde las tribunas la fiesta y en la cancha lo hizo el Deportivo Pereira que consiguió una importante victoria  frente al América de  Cali  por marcador de 2-0.

De esta forma los matecañas continúan en la parte alta de la Tabla de posiciones, siendo segundos con 20 puntos  a sí acercándose a la clasificación en este primer semestre a los cuadrangulares finales.
