El 24 de abril se celebra el Día Internacional del Multilateralismo y la Diplomacia para la Paz, una fecha establecida por la Asamblea General de la ONU en su resolución A/73/L.48. Se celebró por primera vez en 2019. Esta fecha busca motivar a los países a seguir colaborando en pro de los temas comunes, llegar acuerdos y negociaciones, que sean de mutuo beneficio para todos. Tal como lo contempla la Agenda 2030 para el desarrollo sostenible.

Se entiende por multilateralismo, el trabajo conjunto de dos o más países para resolver un problema que sea de interés mutuo y que solo por medio de la cooperación se podría brindar una respuesta eficaz a todos los afectados. El multilateralismo está contemplado en la Carta fundacional de las Naciones Unidas y también dentro de los principios de resolución de disputas entre los países.

La Diplomacia para la paz es otro de los puntos que celebra este día, para dar preponderancia a las acciones diplomáticas por parte de las naciones en virtud de frenar un conflicto. Este tipo de intervenciones también son consideradas multilateralismos, aunque en principio pudiese parecer que el hecho a resolver no afecta directamente al país que sirve de mediador en el problema.

El Día internacional del Multilateralismo y la Diplomacia para la Paz es el disfraz de las grandes potencias, mientras –internamente- acuerdan el manejo del mundo.

Peor aún… el país que se oponga y levante la cabeza, se la mochan, silenciando la voz de protesta. –RUDAFRA.

April 24 is the International Day of Multilateralism and Diplomacy for Peace, a date established by the UN General Assembly in its resolution A/73/L.48. It was first celebrated in 2019. This date seeks to motivate countries to continue collaborating on common issues, reaching agreements and negotiations that are of mutual benefit to all, as contemplated in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Multilateralism is understood as the joint work of two or more countries to resolve a problem of mutual interest, and only through cooperation can an effective response be provided to all affected parties. Multilateralism is enshrined in the founding Charter of the United Nations and also within the principles of dispute resolution between countries.

Diplomacy for Peace is another of the points celebrated on this day, giving priority to diplomatic actions by nations to stem a conflict. This type of intervention is also considered multilateralism, although at first it might seem that the issue to be resolved does not directly affect the country serving as mediator in the problem.
